‘Milk’ is from poet artist Paul Conneally’s ongoing series of artistic interventions ‘After Lygia’ related to the work of the late Brazilian artist, Lygia Clark.
It links to work and ideas that Conneally began exploring with artist Dr. Miffy Ryan arising out of addressing and trying to understand the proliferation of nationalistic and anti immigration feelings in some sections of the British community and in particular the systematic hanging of St. George’s flags from lampposts along miles and miles of roads throughout England.
This piece utilises a Tesco supermarket cardboard box milk package with the Union Flag printed on it.
