Dr Miffy Ryan in Loughborough Marketplace

Artist and academic, Dr Miffy Ryan, photographed during her public art intervention residency in Loughborough marketplace as Being Wild Art which she is along with her artistic collaborator artist curator Jacqui Gallon.

The work sees them foraging and finding waste materials in the marketplace and surrounds which they then use live in the market place to make art pieces and performative interventions within the urban space of the town centre and with the general public.

Contexts and sub-contexts, political, social, planning and artistic continually emerge, evolve, submerge and rise again as the work progresses over a week and a half of action research and the work itself.

At its heart the work animates Loughborough town centre in new and often startling ways.
