Alleyways, jitties, gennells, or whatever you want to call them are part of my domain. The domain of edges. They cut through and divide the urban sprawl, some dating back hundreds of years, maybe starting as desire lines until at some point being formally adopted as a legal public walkway. This is now legally named Dannett Walk. I only ever take this alleyway, this walkway, when I walk into Leicester City’s King Power Stadium for a football match. It’s a little way out from the ground but, as they say, the walk does me good.
