Great Paul Bell Casing in Queens Park Loughborough

This 14-tonne mould used to make the Great Paul bell, in St Paul’s Cathedral, in London, is  installed in Queen’s Park, Loughborough.

The case and Great Paul was made by Taylor’s Bell Foundry, in the town, in 1881.

Taylor’s is now the only fully working bell foundry in the UK since the closure of the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in London.
