Remembrance Day Match – Leicester City v Nottingham Forest 2013

Service Men and Women at The Remembrance Day Football Fixture at Leicester City King Power Stadium 2013.

The match was a big one with Leicester City taking on local rivals Nottingham Forest.

The match ball was brought in by an airforce helicopter.

It was almost a full capacity crowd with a large away contingency of fans. There were many servicemen and women in the crowd who had been given complimentary tickets for the match.

A minute’s silence was held at before kick off and a lone trumpet player played The Last Post.

The respect for the silence was universal with not one shout from either set of fans during the time of reflection.

Forest went on to win Leicester by two goals to nil.
