The piece features a copy of Robert Burn’s own handwritten manuscript of a segment of Auld Lang Syne.
The large wooden puzzle is positioned on the floor with the original manuscript exhibited on the wall by it. Visitors are encouraged to engage with the original manuscript and keep referring back to it as they strive to complete the floor puzzle.
The puzzle is just one of Conneally’s ongoing works and ideas around encouraging new engagements and interpretations of original manuscripts held by museums, libraries and other archives.
