FROG ISLAND STORIES - Stephenson's Railway Lift Bridge

From August 2013 Paul Conneally will be returning to Frog Island in Leicester. Earlier in the year he began to explore this island in the heart of Leicester. Created when the canal navigation was cut in the 19th Century he found a direct link back to Snibston where Robert Stephenson’s railway lifting bridge, originally on Frog Island, now resides and where he himself has been Cultural Forager for the last two years.

Frog Island – what stories you have to tell and in their telling we shall surely find and tell some of our own.
