Out of the John Lewis car park to meet Leicester City’s Heritage Officer, Sally Coleman.
I find myself addressed by a piece of public art, some kind of metal column.
The column itself does nothing for me, an elongated cheese grater.
The scene only comes to life when I see the sign on the wooden hoarding behind the column, a fence-off from the site of a recently demolished building: ‘Lost World Demolition’
metal and plywood
just a few leaves left now
on the street cherry
