The Western, in addition to being one of the most popular places for drinking before and after Leicester City football matches, has a theatre upstairs.

The last two matches I attended saw me drinking not in The Western but in The Nine Bar and the Pi Bar after the obligatory drink at the Black Horse on Braunstone Gate. This was because The Western was, as usual, standing room only and these days I like to enjoy my liquor sitting down whenever possible.
