This is the image that comes out of and with the new lyric poem and song ‘Cruel Love’ by Venus Aphrodite. It’s a beautiful a cappella recording made in Curitiba, Brazil where VA is currently based. It is released by New Reality Records, the independent record label based in Loughborough, UK.

There are lots of ideas and pathways into and out from Cruel Love in both its creation and wider dissemination. Venus has written a wonderful piece on her new Substack called Weaving with Sappho where some of these ideas and more are explored.
