Brazilian singer-songwriter Venus Aphrodite’s latest music video, “Drown,” was shot in the stunning Gruta das Encantadas, a beautiful enchanted sea cave that perfectly matched the underlying Siren story of the song. The haunting line, “I fell into the water, you watched me drown,” repeated in the song, matches the beauty and sacred nature of the cave. Venus Aphrodite, who is based in Curitiba, writes mythological-inspired songs in her second language of English. Her small independent British label, New Reality Records, releases her songs, although she has never visited Leicester in England where the label is based.
