‘Big Socks’

I propose that people are invited to make big socks. Knit them. Crochet them. However they like and in whatever colours they feel. These are then stitched together to make a big wall hanging / banner called ‘Big Socks’. This piece is in my mind a piece linked to and out of a place where socks were / are made such as Loughbohemia (some call it Loughborough) which already has its famous Sock Man statue outside the Town Hall or another hosiery town such as Leicester. There could be iterations of Big Socks in from and by different communities, different towns, different countries.
