A man kills his dog then dies from a heart attack.
So upset is Steven Poxon after his Staffordshire bull terrier, Junior, attacks another dog, that he feels he should kill him. He knows that Junior will be taken by the authorities, quarantined then destroyed.
Better he does the deed himself.
Police find Junior’s body on the grass outside his owner’s home. Steve is found inside, quite dead. There is no sign of injury. It seems Steve’s heart gave up on him after killing Junior.
Nottinghamshire police release a statement saying that there is nothing at all to suggest that Steve has taken his own life. He just died at home where he also kept his other dog, Rocky, a Rottweiler.
Steve, a gardener for Nottingham City Council, will be missed by the pensioners who look forward to him coming along to “do the garden”.
“They all took him to heart” says Kevin his nephew.
A single man with six sisters he lived alone.
